Prime Minister of Mauritius Pravind Jugnauth announced a phased reopening of Mauritian borders for international travel. He said repatriation of Mauritian nationals will continue until the end of September. As more flights will be scheduled to and from designated destinations from the beginning of October, Mauritian nationals, residents and holders of work/occupational permits will be given priority for travel to Mauritius. Passengers will be able to book their airline tickets and hotel rooms online. The next phase will be the complete reopening of borders, which will be considered based on the evolution of the Covid-19 pandemic.
